Burger King charged me extra!!!!

I ordered a double cheeseburger with lettuce - no bun or anything else.
It came in a plastic container with a knife and fork. I figured, this is great. Well, I just was about to throw the receipt away and noticed that they charged me .15 cents extra for "low carb"!!! DOes that seem right? The way I see it, they charged me the same price but didn't give me the bun....why charge me extra? I just don't get it!

It sounds like they rang you up for the new low carb burger. It costs a little more.

They are charging for the BOWL..lol..I just order the burger and take off the bun - I refuse to pay the extra for that stupid bowl! Of course some of the bun does kinda stick if I get cheese but just scrape it off best I can.

I got one of those this weekend as well. I did notice there was a lot of lettuce, more than what would have been on the whopper with the bun. Maybe that is their excuse.

That's one of the reasons I love the local Villige Inn here. If I order a avacado swiss burger with no bun or fries instead of charging me for the entire dinner, the waitress will ring up a beef patty with 2 added cheeses (one for the cheese and one to cover avacado) it comes out much cheaper. I've also had waitresses adjust the bill on breakfast items and give me senior prices on meals since I don't have the extra sides.

I just had McDonalds for breakfast, I ordered a sausage Mcmuffin with Egg and cheese, hold the muffin....she only charged me $1 and said good luck on the diet!

This was a funny post. I went to Burger King and ordered two whoppers. They were $.99 so I asked for extra lettuce on both burgers plain. Well I took it to work took off the buns and only ate the burgers with lettuce. I don't like to waste so I took the buns home and made my Husband 2 ham and cheese sandwhiches to take for lunch the next day. He was very happy.

I think it depends on the burger king.
Over in the research section there is a post and here is a quote from it.

Quote:
Over at Burger King, the new "Low-Carb Whopper Platter" consists of a beef patty, a handful of shredded lettuce and a couple of tomato slices, all packed in a clear plastic box.

The chain has cut out 49 grams of carbs by holding the bun. The price? Ten cents less ($2.25) than the regular at $2.35.

So this one says its 10 cents cheaper w/o the bun.

From what I recall Burger king reccomended keeping the same price.
Sucks that you are paying 15 cents more for the bowl there.

It's the same here MyJourney. I had gotten the flyer in the newspaper and went and got the double whopper platter. But I added bacon. Yummy and filling when in a pinch.
