the morning coffee with cream Q

Right, I have got the hang of most of it !
Just wondering tho about the one coffee with cream. I have been having this 1 cup around 8 am then black coffee thereafter.

Is this ok to have it completely seperate from CM1 ?

Is the "within 15 min thing" because of potential insulin release if you go over 15 min?

Im very happy with this coffee at 8 am and breakfast CM1 about 11.30 - 12md. my body is telling me this is ok :) but I like to check the details with you experts

You are doing it right. Yes, the 15 minute limit is because if you go over, the body thinks it's food and a reaction can start.

thanks Zuleikaa

 so that explains why when I added cream to my Atkins woe in order to get my fats up I put on 12 lb. :(

For Atkins, "fat doesnt make you fat " is true.... Ive seen it work for many. But to this new Cad 'er it seems, fat does make you fat if its cream poured in a drink and taken over the day.

What a relief it is to see these things falling into place.

The cream-in-the-coffee thing has been a real issue for me as well, since I started CAD in Sept. I have always taken my coffee with milk and sweetner. At first I started having it with cream.. but I really like the taste better with milk. Not to mention that it is still hard for me to get my mind around the fact that cream is actually better for me than milk. I have fluctuated back and forth and today I had it with the M&S again. But, the more I think about it, the more I realize I need to stick to the program and so tomorrow morning, cream it is. :daze:

Vel
The Hellers say you can have milk with your coffee. It must be limited to 2 ounces once a day other than at RM.
