Pancakes

Hi All,

I am starting induction this week after a great vacation. I want to make pancakes with Atkin's baking mix.

Question: which recipe tastes better: the one on the can or the one in the New Diet Revolution, with seltzer water?

Thanks so much,

Patty

I like Trader Joe's Designer Whey Vanilla Protein powder pancakes.

1 scoop of powder
1 egg
2 TBS oil
2 TBS heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

Hi Lisak

Thanks for the suggestion. I have another brand of whey protein and I will try the pancakes with that.

I thankfully tripped over my name in the newbie list this evening. It is hard for me to navigate well in the forum and get and send messages.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Patty

Usually starting a journal is the best way to make a space for yourself. Or read others. By clicking the little journal icon on the bottom of every signature you can get around the journals.

Then there is all the lc diet folders....

To see everywhere you have been just click the profile at the top and all the threads you have responded to are in there.

There is so much to read and feel free to ask questions.

What is "powder" and how much is a scoop? If you're talking about the Atkins baking mix, is there an alternative since I'm in UK and probably can't get it anywhere except the net. I realise this is an old thread but I'm desperate for some new induction menus!

Hummingbird, I think by powder they mean Designer Whey Vanilla Protein . This is a protein powder that you can use to make shakes.

Most of these products have their own measuring scoop included (or at least my Holland and Barrett protien shake mix did) so this is probably what they mean.

So I can get this stuff from Holland and Barrett? Is it just any protein shake mix I need? Sorry, I'm not really up on this sort of stuff. Never did much shopping in H & B before now!...apart from when I tried the Carol Vorderman thing....STARVED!!

How many servings in this? How many carbs?

1 scoop of powder
1 egg
2 TBS oil
2 TBS heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

I don't know if it's just any protein shake mix, as some of them really don't take well to being cooked. DON'T use the one that you can buy in DECATHLON sports stores, this really goes horrible and salty when cooked. :Puke: . I'm going to throw that stuff out because it's bloody useless

Plus they all have different sized scoops. I've made pancakes successfully with the chocolate soy protein shake mix from Holland and Barrets, but I didn't really follow a recipe, just kept adding ingredients until it looked edible

I'm sure I've seen the designer whey protein powder on one of the websites that sell to the uk, I'll have a look and post back if I'm successful

Sorry HummingBird, I couldn't find the specific whey protein they were on about. I think Holland and Barrett will be your best bet, they did have some Vanilla flavour low carb whey protein mix last time I was in there. You'll just have to take a guess on the quatities though as not all scoops are the same size.

Oh, never mind k....Thanks so much for trying! I haven't had chance to get to H&B for a while but I'll be down there tomorrow I think.

Thanks for all your help!

the designer whey scoop is about 1/3 cup.

Ok im confused now, im on day 11 of the diet and i had pancakes 3 days in a row. I love pancakes! On the atkins websit it states I can have them during induction but I happen to look at the back of the atkins back mix and it stated that it is not suitable for induction. Im really upset about this. Do I have to start over?
