Hunger Pains

I have been on this WOE since 01/02/03 I am not sure how much i have lost but i am sure i have, cause my clothes fit looser now, and a coworker told me that it looks like i have.
Any way here is my question. For about 2 weeks maybe more. It seems like my stomach just cant get enough. Like today i ate 2 med Lemon pepper chicken breasts, with like 1 cup (raw) of Steamed brocolli with butter on it. And i am already having hunger pains, and my tummy is growling. I am NOT hungry though!! :(
Has anyone else experienced this?
Also i just started drink what i call alot of water. And i go pee like every 5 minutes. Will this eventually go away (the peeing so much) i thought my body would absorb it. I was also hoping this would help with my water rentention. But the constant peeing is getting annoying.
Anyone?????
PLEASE!!
Sorry it is so long of a message.

Pfft. That isn't a "long" message. Compared to some of mine anyways.. :o

lol but Yea I went through that. It started during induction and when I was drinking more water.... Usually the *hunger* is really thirst. As long as you know you're eating enough, and you shouldn't be hungry, keep drinking and ignore em.. they eventually go away. Once your body realizes that its going to keep getting enough water, it stops asking for more.

I was stupid. Instead of drinking, I kept eating..and gained a few pounds..:bash:

And yea, you eventually have to pee less. Takes a couple of weeks for that to go away also.

It has been my experience that the more water you drink the more water your body lets go of. Right now your body is trying to flush out any retained water you may have so you might just have to grin and bear it until you get the excess water out. As for hunger pains, if you're not hungry don't eat, but maybe you could give your stomach a piece of celery or cucumber to quiet it down.

I don't know because i'm hungry every 3 hours like clockwork. Maybe you may want to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals instead of 3 bigger ones?

But the advice you got here sounds good. If you get the feeling drink some water. If you are still hungry.... eat something allowed until you feel satisfied.

That is the very best thing about this WOE. You are allowed to eat when you are hungry without guilt.

Are you eating lc bars???? They will make a tummy growl!!!

Pokey Tue, Jan-28-03 15:42

No lc bars for me

No i know they would cause a stall so I dont eat the lc bars or carbolite candy bars cause they cause me to gain. Plus I would much rather eat a bunch of meat and veges instead of a dadgum bar. Well i will just take the advice and drink drink drink. :Puke:
And i will just let my tummy growl. Cause i know i am eating enough.
Thanks to all!!

One thing that you might try is some very high fat, low carb, tasty, kinds of treats.

The best that we have found is the New York Style Low Carb Cheesecake, but eating a couple spoonfuls of pure butter, or cream cheese, may work about the same.

Eat it slowly, savor every morsel, let your tongue and throat and stomach absorb every bit of flavor and taste.

At least for me, I can't eat very much of the stuff, but feel very satiated, and have no desire to eat more, of anything.

Warm, microwave pork rinds works pretty much the same for me, but I have to eat more of them than I do the cheesecake.

At this point a 2 or 3 oz serving of cheesecake is completely satisfying for me. First time I had it though, I probably ate 8-10 ozs.

I bet whale blubber would work well for those cravings also! :D

Keep on, keepn' on!

Yes i have tried adding more fat to my diet. And it is not that I donte crave more food. It's that my tummy does by growling and stuff. Like i said i am completey satisfied with and by my meal. Just my tummy isn't. I too think it might be my body craving more water.
Thanks to all!!!

OR- It could just be your stomach talking! I think mine has a mind of its own and talks all the time!! Even when I just finished eating. Noisy belly!!

chocolate

I bought the chocolate chocolate chip muffin mix that Atkins makes and made it last night. Oh my Golly Miss Molly, smelled like brownies cooking and tasted divine!!

And...only 6 net carbs!! NOt bad for a snack.

The banana bread is pretty darn good too at 2 or 4 net carbs.

Tanzia,
Do you buy this mix from the website or do they have a store where you are?

tanzia77 Wed, Jan-29-03 15:15

YOu can buy it on the atkinscenter.com website or check and see if you have a dealer in your area, and the website will tell you that too. We have a low carb mall near my house which has numerous kinds of atkins and other low carb things. I even bought low carb soft serve ice cream that was YUMMY!!

lkonzelman Wed, Jan-29-03 18:05

Hey... most things are cheaper on netrition.com (this sites shopping).

Also, check other products too because Atkins uses a lot of the sugar alcohols that stall some people.

I love cheeters crackers. 3 nice sized crackers are 6 carbs but 5 fiber...
