Look out Fat - I'm Weight-Training
I took the leap and joined a local gym. I started a full body weight training program. I am working out on two types of weight machines Nautlis and Ikaria(?). For now I am doing eight different machines, three sets of 12 on each. I am also still doing cardio work...getting in shape to do some serious running this spring.
Here is my workout from today, I expect to keep it the same for the next few weeks. Treadmill 1/4 ile warm up run 2miles at 8min pace stretch Weights 2 sets of 12 on all eight machines Treadmill 1mile at 8min pace Weights one more set of 12 for each machine cool down on the basketball court for 5-15 min This is what I did today and it felt great. I may alter pace,and weight as I go but I will try to keep it the same basic workout for a few weeks. If I feel like it is getting too routine I will mix it up after six weeks. That is the plan anyhow. The goal is to break 200lbs by my daughters birthday on 4-26. |
