Question about sodium intake

I'm getting so sick of water, so for a treat I found a diet pop that has no calories or carbs. but it has 30mg of sodium. Is that okay?? If not how much sodium are we aloud a day??
Thank You,
Tammy

P.S. I'm still drinking the water...

That is a great question - I personally love drinking water, so I haven't had a problem, but a friend of mine just started Induction and he is going crazy on agua only!

He purchased a bunch of drinks like yours, Tammy - and I was wondering if he was going to have issues.

I drink the occasional Diet Rite, but I have to admit that I am losing my taste for it. It has no sodium- maybe you could try that? Also- try water with lemon and a splenda packet- it's pretty tasty. I don't think it would fill that 'bubble' need though. :D

For those who are addicted to things that fizz, just stick to the water, and soon you'll realize what you drink keeps you alive, not entertains you.

I used to drink pop of all kinds, extra sugar please! But now I have no tolerance for the huge amount of crap in them. It only took a couple of weeks for my taste buds to adjust, and when I took a sip of coke, I nearly gagged! It was so SALTY! I usually put salt on my meals, but it's just too much for me now.

Personaly, I've seen nothing detrimental from salt intake, it's an essential mineral we need, and we'll only get it when we put it on food. I've seen no change in my blood pressure over the years, and always recommend a low carb diet to my friends with high blood pressure.

HBP, I believe anyway, is caused not by salt intake or high fat diets, but by high carb diets! Build up of fat and yeast cannot be good for anyone, it's my belief that we will eventually find that high carb diets cause all sorts of ailments.

Good luck!
