Low Carb Shopping? Please Help!

Hi everyone,
I live in Canada, but my mom is going to be visiting friends in California within the next week. I want her to pick me up some low carb products (because you literally can only get about 5% of those products in Canada). I was wondering if anyone can give me names of bigger chain type stores that carry a lot of low carb stuff in one place? Grocery stores, drug stores, health food stores - whatever. I just want to send her to 1 or 2 places, and see if she can find me as much as possible. Here are a few products i am looking for, and if anyone could give me some suggestions for 'one stop shopping' i would be so appreciative!!!

Hershey Sf chocolates,
Russel Stover chocolates
Atkins muffin mixes, bread, brownie mixes,
Keto brand Hot cereals
Keto ketchup
Walden farms or Atkins maple syrup/ketchup/BBQ sauce, choc
sauce
La Tortilla Factory Tortillas
Food for life bread
Cheeters crackers/breads
Low carb success granola

Hi, FaerieGirl.

I'm going to suggest Walmart and Sam's Club, and Trader Joe's -- just from reading these here forums -- ! and there's a GreenBeanz somewhere in Northern California (I think) that's completely an LC store. Should be easy to find on a websearch with that name. California's a pretty big state, you might want to specify what part you're interested in?

Hope that helps.

PS: I'm going to port your post in the Local LowCarbing Support::US forum, I bet you'll get much better answers there.
PPS: LaTortilla Factory is actually located in Santa Rosa, CA, wherever that is!

L.A. Area

Try Gelsons Supermarket, Ralphs Supermarket, and GNC (a vitamin store in most big shopping malls). Some of the bigger Vons carry some stuff as well.
Whole Foods doesn't carry Atkins, but they do have Zone stuff including some meals.
Hope your Mom has a great time!

I live in Yuba City, CA

my local BelAir Market carries LaTortilla LC tortillas

and the Cash and Carry near me carrys Torani syrups, like DaVinci,

I bought a case of 12 different flavors for $43. the pumps were a couple of dollars each, you should see my gourmet kitchen!!!

you can get the Torani one at a time too,

I have heard that Trader Joes is the LC capital of the CA world, but haven't one around,

also my Sams' Club sells Splenda packets of 700 for about $13

good luck,

julienne

Thanks for all the suggestions!! That is fantastic! I hope that she can find some stuff - i know how difficult it is when *I* go in the super market (scrutinizing labels and whatnot) hopefully low carb stuff is better labelled (and there is more of it!) in the U.S. :)

Went to the grand opening weekend of carbsmart. They were still working out the kinks and still stocking the store and getting everything setup. The store has amazing potential, I only wish it were closer to me. They did mention that they might open one in orange if the one in huntington beach is successful. good luck to them, and if you are in LA, its worth checking out, go to their site for directions. www.carbsmart.com
