How To Attach a Picture to Your Post
Note: you can't use the 'quick reply' feature if you want to attach an image. Use the 'Go Advanced" button, which has all the features, or start a new thread, if appropriate.
1. Click "manage attachments" above the "submit" button. 2. Click "browse" , find your file, then click "add this file" ONCE. 3. *Wait* for the image to upload - you'll see the filename appear once it has. This could take a minute or two! Click "all done." 3. If you get the message that your file is too big, it is. You'll have to edit it down and try again. |
test
I hope this works

How do I....
get the picture itself into the post? Not just the link to click on?

hi Deb,
Attached files will show as a clickable link only, whether it's a picture, a text file, etc. To read more information about this, check out this thread .. Important Information: posting pictures, attachments and image linking Doreen |

Click on the icon at the top of the page. That will take you to your user control panel. Click on the Avatar tab. Scroll down to the Custom Avatar section .. make sure the "yes" option is highlighted. Use the Browse button to locate the file on your C: drive, then click Submit Modifications. There is also a Profile Picture option on that same page .. you can upload a larger picture that will appear on your member profile page (but not as your avatar which appears with all your posts on the forum) hth, Doreen |
thank you so much for such a quick reply..
I will try now.. |

Thanks for the information!

Help...
I have tried again and again to post a photo with no results. It is telling me my photo is too big...okay...how do I reduce it? It seems I not only have this problem with my body size...but now I have the same problem with my photo size...is this size discrimination? No kidding...how do I remedy my problem. My husband can usually figure these things out, but it even frustrated him...
Looking forward to your reply... Love & Light, Pink :dazzle: |
Hi Pink. You need to have an image editor. If you have a digital camera, it should have come with that kind of software. If not, don't worry - you don't have to go spend $500 on Photoshop. :D I use a really nice free one called The Gimp.
If you'd like, you can pm me for my email address, and I'll do them for you. |
Hey, Kristine...
Thanks so very much for your help :rheart: ...it seems we have a photo shop where we remedied the situation - thanks to my genius darling husband, Michael.
I want to thank everyone on this forum...and you know who you are...for the invaluable assistance you all have given me on the situation. Again - you have come to my aid... Love & Light, Pink :dazzle: |
I'm trying to upload an attachment, but it's not showing. I've double-checked the directions, and I'm doing everything right. Is it possible that the file is too large, but I'm not getting the message?
Thanks, Wanda --edit-- it must have been too large and I wasn't getting the message. What's the max file size for attachments? It's probably here somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. |
hi Wanda,
Maximum size for each attachment is 100 Kb or 400 x 400 pixels. Keep an eye on the file size .. your picture might be within the pixel limit, but if it's bigger than 100 Kb, it won't work. Also, there's a limit of 5 attachments per post. hth :rose: Doreen |
Thanks Doreen, ya Angel!
