Bladder Infection

I've been on the PPL for just over 2 weeks and had to make a trip to the doctors due to some abdonilnal pain (I was convinced it was a hernia).

It turned out to be a bladder infection. Could this be due to the new diet? I do consiouly drink tons of water but I've search around and found a few people metion bladder infection on low car diets and was wondering what may have caused it and how to avoid any other problem with the diet.

Hello!

There's nothing about a low carb diet that would cause a bladder infection. It's usually caused by bacteria finding their way into your bladder via your urethra. In other words, bad luck. :(

Keep drinking the water to help flush it out, and take your antibiotics (if you were prescribed some.) If you can find some cranberry extract pills, they'll help, also. They contain an ingredient that prevents bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall.

Hope you're 100% soon! :sunny:
