protein shakes

Are protein shakes allowed in induction? if so what kind? :)

You can have them, but do be careful, I tried to have a shake and my mom (also on Atkins) got worried that you might substitue and get accustomed to them. I have the Atkins shakes! Really good! But, I would take eggs over a shake anyday!

Optimuiim Nutrition has a good tasting one.

It has a good protein per gram (serving) ratio.

Also if you have a Costco in your area they have Protein for 19.99 for 6lbs. It is pretty good in just water. I put it in a blender with icecubes and it is great. the scoop is pretty big. There are 90 servings.

120cal.
1.5 g fat
4 carb
22 g protein

Thanks Jag and Sweet....will look for those. I tried a Pure Protein one at my sisters this past weekend that her husband was using and it didn't give me cramps or boating like they usually do. and i think it's because it's whey....

if i remember right the vanilla was 110 cals, 3 carb and 18 protein....maybe. but i was ok with it. the biochem ultimate locarb is not as tasty because it has nothing added really...
