Tomorrow's Flavor of the Day is....

Chocolate Covered Strawberries at Culver's. (Frozen Custard). Please talk me out of having some. It is my favorite.

Make sure you're wearing pants that you have to squeeze into..lol... it helps!

Seriously, I need to give such places WIDE berth if I feel like I have no resistance. If I can't avoid the places that hold my former favorites, I just have to "white-knuckle" it, since NOTHING is worth undoing my progress.

During my last cheat - well it lasted 2 days, do you still call it a cheat or a full on binge? Anyway...Culvers was my place of choice (I'll have you know I went there 2 days in a row!!) Each time I had the turtle sundae. Martha, I went up 3 lbs in those 2 days. The custard was my only cheat (had it twice) in those two days.

You may have much more will than I, but once I got a taste of that beloved treat, I was back again the next day...good thing weigh in was close or I might have gone more than 2!!! I am so weak though.

Just thought I'd share my little experiance.

FIGHT IT MARTHA -- FIGHT!!

Thanks...

For some reason this morning, I am not craving it. I'll be able to drive right by. Maybe it's your words of wisdom.

Anyone crave salty stuff I love love love chips but haven`t had any in ages and don`t plan to. I have to really know my trigger points and stear clear of my non LC snacks.

Whenever I am confronted with something like that I analyze it in my mind to figure out how I could make it myself, but LC.

Chocolate covered strawberries are simple: I make the recipe for chocolate peanut butter cups, except I leave out the peanut butter. Then I dip some big juicy strawberries once or twice in the warm sauce and either eat them immediately or refrigerate for later.

And even if I'm not going to run home and make the LC version of whatever tempting treat is before my eyes, just knowing I can do so eliminates the temptation. This approach kept me from going on a key lime pie binge on a trip to Florida one time; as soon as I bought some bottled key lime juice I was fine.
