splenda flavored drinks

my dh and i found these fruity drinks at COstoco. t hey are made by Talking Rain Water.....they are flavored with splenda, have no calories, no true nutritional content, but are so nice when you need a fruity taste. however, i know even though it says NO CARBS there are...dh thinks they can have no more than 2 pack of splenda in them....they are 16 ounces...does that sound about right....should i just call company up and ask them????

we don't drink them every day...or if i do, only half one day and half the next.....is this okay.

Hi

I'm sure they're using liquid splenda, which has no carbs since there's no fillers....

We love em

My kids even drink those talking rain drinks now. Cryrstal Light has 4 packs of drinks in 16 oz bottles (not sure about the exact size) that are good too and also made with Spelnda.

Although it says no carbs, I tend to count 2 bottles as 1 carb, just to be safe.

What's up with the herbs they put in the Talking Rain drinks? Is there some rhyme or reason to the Echineca, St John's wort, etc. in the drinks????

i wondered the same thing.....about the herbs??? go figure. more than likely just a promotional gimmick.

but oh they are good.

diet rtie is in the same boat...

I've been wondering about this: I drink diet rite on occasion and it says no sodium, no aspartame, and caffeine, no cals, no carbs...it's like "what the hec is in 'em." It also says it's made with splenda.

Besides the obvious (liquid vs. powder), what's the difference bw liquid and powdered splenda (carb wise, flavor wise, etc.)?

Thanks
E

Just a quick question.... does anyone know if they sell "Splenda flavored" drinks in Canada? (West Coast)?

Hi...

The liquid splenda doesn't have any fillers, so no carbs....the powdered stuff does, so you have to count it.

Talking Rain...

I also enjoy the Talking Rain drinks and Diet Rite flavored soda (Black Cherry is my fave) but I find that after being on Atkins for 2 months, they are VERY sweet to my taste buds. I've pretty much stopped drinking them in favor of plain water.

Talking Rain would make good popsicles though I think!

Enjoy...

DWRolfe,

I just wanted to say congrats on your loss - 33 lbs. in 2 mo :spin:

That's great. Hey what part of Chicago are you from? I have relative all over and my bf is from there too...Elmhurst, Berwyn, Brookfield, and Lake Forest (which is north of Chicago, but it's slose), and then my bf's sis lives in Lincoln Park...

Congrats again,
E

Thanks!

Thanks, Erin! Funny, I have connections in Bloomington IN too!

I'm on the North side of Chicago, about 6 blocks from Wrigley Field. I grew up in Chicago, so I'm familiar with all of the 'burbs you mentioned. May have to look at living in one of those 'burbs soon, as we want to buy a place but housing in the city has gotten very expensive. Even small, starter homes are $275,000, so we may have to migrate west.....

Thanks again for your support!

Tell me about it...

I thought I would be moving to CHi, and we started looking at apts ----2,000/mo. Instead we're moving to Memphis ----1200/mo and that's a penthouse.

I'm hearing you....

Splenda

You guys probably know this already, but diet Hansen's soda is sweetened with Splenda and tastes great. No calories, no caffeine, no carbs. Try it if you haven't already.
