strawberry whipped cream cheese cake recipe

Here is a recipe I found. It tastes great. The amt. of carbs. depends on the amt. of splena and strawberries you use. The one I make has 20g. of carbs. for whole pie.

1pt. heavy cream(0g.carbs)
8oz. cream cheese,softened(8g. carbs.)
10pks. splenda(10g. carbs.)
2tsp. vanilla
strawberries(optional)

Beat heavy cream on high speed until it forms peaks. Just like making whipped cream. Add vanilla and splenda gradually, beating on high continously. When it turns into whipped cream add cream cheese and beat until it's mixed in good. Should be very fluffy. Poor into pie plate and put cut up strawberries on top. Refridgerate for at an hour. There are 4 servings. There should be about 5g. carbs. per serving.

Looks tasty, but you may have to change your carbs counts for the recipe, a pint of cream has 13 carbs. :)

That looks good!

The kind of cream I buy has no carbs. in it.

At least that what it says on the container. I buy it from our local grocery store. I get heavy cream not heavy whipping cream. The heavy whipping cream does have carbs. in it. Not the heavy cream.

Sadly, it does have carbs in it, just in a small enough amount that they don't have to be listed. (If it's less than 1 per serving, US manufacturers can put 0.) Heavy cream and whipping cream are the same thing (although if it's pasteurized, it won't whip very well).

Still, that's not too bad a carb count for an entire PIE. Plus that looks very yummy. I will be trying it ASAP. :)

Here is a link I use often to check carb contents:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl

If you type in heavy cream, it will give you .83 carbs per ounce x 16 ounces in a pint = 13.28

HTH! :)

Well that's good to know. I can recount my carbs. when I'm eating this. It's very tasty. My husband loves it and he hates cream cheese. We only have it on weekends. One piece each on Sat. and Sun. I guess it has about 31g. of carbs. plus the strawberry carbs. The pie really doesn't need them though it's very good without them. You could use other berries too.
