Going shopping tomorrow

:yay: :wiggle: :hyper:
Yeah going to do shopping to start LC'ing tomorrow.
Anyone have any suggestions for a shopping list - other than the *(* obvious. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Also how much broccoli and cauli can you have 1/2 head broccoli
or big floret of cauli. ANY help on sizes of vegs is a bonus for me as I love vegs. I am going to have to be really strong about potatoes, carrots and pumpkin though. Doing without these will be hard.

Hi there. Congrats on starting LC'ing. Is a great way to go. Few hints: Watch the veges, especially on Induction, only 1 cup allowed/day. There are 2 books I would highly recommend for receipes:
1. Atkins New Diet Revolution. The Crustless Quiche, Ratatouille Bake, Shrimp & Feta Stew are all terrific.

...my favourite book is:

The Power of Protein. Have tried just about every receipe & every one of them is a winner. Especially love the Prawns in Garlic Cream Sauce. The book is like the Womens Weekley ones that are put out. If you see it, grab it, they sell like hot cakes.

Hope all goes well with Induction.

Cheers
Pam

Thanks for the tips. I have been searching high and low for Protien Polwer book but cant get it up here. Have yo seen it in any of your larger book shops?
I am going to have to be a bit of a slower looser as I just can't live on 1 cup of vegs a day. Salad vegs are pretty low and from what I looked up yesterday I had 19g carb - split over 3 meals.
So here goes
Cheers

You just go into your profile (click on at the top of the page), and click onto "profile" once you are there, then add your body fat numbers.
Don't forget to click on "submit modifications" when you are done. ;)

Cheers.

Thanks Roz
BUT how do I get the BF numbers in the first place ?
Sorry to be so backwards on how to use these things but I will get the hang of it. Day 4 today and feeling a bit "out there" may be IT is happening!!!

Don't apologize! Not a single person here came out of the egg knowing how this all works. We all have to learn. Please feel free to ask any question any time. :)

There are many methods of calculating body fat. I believe the most accurate is by being submerged underwater, presumably at a gym. You can also have body fat calculated with calipers that you either buy, or have done for you at a gym.
But probably the most common method used is calculating by taking various body measurements. These may not be super accurate, but if you always use the same method you'll at least have an idea of the change (decrease :) ) in your body fat.

If you search the net you'll find a few, but here's one to start with.

Cheers, matey.

Roz
