not losing

Okay. It has taken me tons of courage to even post. But here it goes. I had a baby in May. Then I had horrible post partum depression. Now I seem to be on the mend. I have followed the eating plan to the tee since Nov. 4th. I have lost not one single pound. I am soo discouraged. Tonight I had a glass(big glass) of wine and finished off the tostitoes chips. I am so mad that I did that. I wonder why I am not losing? I tried this woe 3 years ago after my third child and I lost 30 lbs. so quickly! I wasn't worried about my weight until now that it isn't working! Help! P.s. do you think it might be my hormones?

Hey Dawn!

Welcome to the forum!! Don't be afraid to post...we are all here to help each other.

Few questions first.....are you eating enough??? I know that sounds silly...but it's important. The plan here is to eat 10 - 12 times your weight in calories, to eat 60% fat 35% protein and 5 % carbs.
Are you drinking lots and lots of water? Watching your sodium? Caffeine?

There are lots of reasons not to lose....and don't get hung up on pounds, cause lots of people lose inches before the pounds come off.

The best thing you can do for yourself now is to start a journal. Post what you eat...we can't help you unless we know exactly what you are doing. Visit other journals and get ideas for menus and recipes.

Drop by mine and say hi.....I'll keep an eye on you if you post in your own journal too. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what you are doing wrong by yourself. That being said you may not be doing anything wrong...and just need patience. I just came off a 3 week stall with a 4 lb. loss, but I thought it was never going to happen.

Hang in there...and visit my journal!!

Sam

Hi Dawn!

Posting is not as scary once you do it the first time. :D

Are you breastfeeding?

As part of the mechanism to provide safety and nourishment for the little one, your body could be in energy conservation mode.

Karen
