Low Carb Tortillas?
 

How do these things taste--Tempted to get some but don't want to waste my money if they are not very good

Growing up on Mexican, at first I thought they were very weird. But you can kind of cover it up with chicken and avocado and lowcarb salsa a cheese and lettuce pretty good. It just doesn't taste to me like a flour or corn tortilla, but their not bad.

My DH loves the garlic and herb flavor for sandwich wraps and the whole wheat make a pretty tasty enchilada with chicken, enchilada sauce and cheese.
I have found that they wrap better if you nuke them for a few seconds in a damp paper towel or fry them for a few seconds in some butter or olive oil in a pan.

I like them with a fried egg, salsa and a dollop of sour cream. It tastes pretty good to me. I tried it with tuna and wasn't thrilled.

I have about 15 packages frozen in my freezer. They take the place of my bread and buns. I love them.

Who makes these things - is there more than one brand? If so, is there a favorite? And where do you get 'em?

You can get low-carb tortillas from La Tortilla. I've ordered some in the past from Netrition.com. Warning, do not eat 2 at every meal...I found them to be a trigger for me and I won't order them again for a while, if ever.
