Need some encouragement .....

I will be starting back on my low carb diet on January 1st, I started Atkins on Decmber 1st and lost 10 lbs the first week, then my husband told me not to stress myself out over the holidays to eat what I wanted, and start again on January 1st. So I am doing that. I had my first child October 2002, and I am still trying to get my baby weight off. I gained 70 lbs with her. I think I came to the right place for the encouragement and just people to talk too while I am doing my low carb diet. I hope to get to know a lot of you....

I'm New Too..Support Each Other?

:wiggle: I am new too, just joined a couple of days ago. I haven't really started the whole plan, I am "research" phase and waiting for my book to arrive. I too want to lose about 70 pounds. It seems impossible, but I read journals and see what people have lost and what they have eaten doing it...amazing. I am a total carb addict, so that is going to be a major adjustment for me, but I am on my third almost carb free day, and already lost two pounds??????? I don't know if it is easier in that I am single and can eat what and when I want. Good luck to you. Hope you start a journal and if you like, become lc friends :yay: oh yes. for fun you may wish to visit a site called myvirtualmodel.com There you can build an avatar that shows what you would look like at any given weight loss. OMG Mine shows me in a bikini at my goal weight LOL :dazzle: A forty-year old spinster school marm in a bikini...works for me!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK

Hi there! I only wish I had known about Atkins 18 years ago, while pregnant with my first baby. It would've made all the difference in the world.

Now, five babies later, WOAH! LOL

I wish you greatest success on your journey, and try to keep in mind that this isn't a 'diet'. This is a way of eating that will help you keep the weight off for the rest of your life. :)
