Grocery Shopping Woos

Well, I had a bad day yesterday. It started out grand! I was feeling thinner so got on the scale and found that I was down to 176. Tried on a bunch of clothes that I haven't fit into in YEARS!!

Well, then I went grocery shopping and hadn't eaten anything. By the time I got home it was 2:00. I was putting the groceries away and found the ground beef/bean/taco seasoning mixture that was leftover from my taco salad a few nights before. So, I proceeded to put cheddar cheese on it and heat it up, knowing that the beans have carbs in them. Then, I had 7 Doritos and sour cream with the mixture. Well, then I had MORE chips and THEN I had a nutty buddy bar. YIKES!!

The worst part is I had 2 pieces of pizza later on. Today I'm back up to 178 and feeling like a jerk! I'm hoping that some of it has to do with water retention from all that salt and have been drinking a ton of water.

So, I think the reason it happened is because I was grocery shopping on an empty stomach and saw all that good food. By the time I got home I was STARVING and lost control.

Fair warning....don't grocery shop on an empty stomach.

:(

Just a suggestion. When I go grocery shopping and find myself hungry. I get a 1/4-1/2 pound of meat at deli counter and eat what I want. Then I pay for the bag, empty or otherwise, at checkout. This diet, any WOE actually, is about finding strategies to get around problems and succeed.

That's the truth!!!

Some of my worst downfalls have been at the supermarket on an empty stomach!! Last time was a whole tube of condensed milk, not to mention half a darn salary!!!

Keep your chin up, it happens to the best!!! You'll surely get back down to 176 in no time!!!

Thanks!

Thanks Zuliekka and Chocolate!

I could really just kick myself! I was doing so good! I'll know better next time.

Feeling more hungry this morning than I normally do. Probably has to do with all the carbs I ate yesterday. Shame on me!

Thanks again! It's nice to be able to admit your faults and downfalls and get encouragement from everyone here.

 I am sure it is just water weight and in a couple of days it should come off.
