Ketosis question...

I know this may sound like a silly question, but does just being in ketosis absolutely mean that I should be losing weight? I have been pink-purple and have had a few other signs of it for about a week now, but I haven't noticed much change on the scale.

Getting a little worried here, going to Daytona Bike Week in a few weeks and want to RIDE a Hog not BE a hog!

Thanks!

Have you been measuring? You may be losing inches and not pounds.

No change in weight or inches hardly

I'm no expert at this, I think if you were to ask about this in the Atkins Diet section you would get more well educated answers.

Hiya Jackie,
how many calories are you getting in a day? How about a sample of your day's menu, that would be helpful to see. Also are you exercising too?

I've been in ketosis since I started in November, but have not lost any lbs in 3 weeks. It is very common. It is also very common to not register on the ketostix, and still lose weight. Please post a sample menu of what you've been eating and we might be able to help pick out some trouble spots

I am a Newbie but I do remember reading about metabolic resistance in the book in Chapter 18.

I'm in the same boat as Star Orchid. I've been in ketosis for weeks, but have not lost any weight lately. Your body will hit plateaus from time to time and then begin losing again. It just needs time to readjust.
