Only been LCing for 3 1/2 weeks....could TOM already be affected?
I've been LCing for just over 3 weeks, but TOM is about a week or more late.......could it's lateness be a result of LCing even though I've only been doing it a short time?
NO, I'm not pregnant :D (thankfully). Nothing against you younguns who are having babies, I just am SO done with that part of my life! I'm 43, have 3 wonderful kids.......anywho, if this is pre-menopause, it shore did choose a funny time to start up! I don't know whether to blame it on the lcing, or go to the doctor and see if maybe I'm pre-meno. I am NEVER late---always very, very regular. So........whaddya all think? Could my body be reacting this soon?     |

Yep! The same thing happened to me when I first started. It will all sort itself out. :) Karen |
Huh. That's interesting. Do you know how that works exactly?

Don't know why it happens but it has also happened to me. I've been on Atkins now for nearly 5 weeks and my TOM was about a week late this month. Perhaps it is a hormonal reaction?

Louisa,
the first months on this WOE you should be prepared for some hormone battles. There are many positive effects of this WOE (lack of PMS, no cramps, no bloating, no panic hunger for sweets etc) but we can also experience some bad things. It can be anything - nothing is like it used to be. Hormones are stored in fat and losing fat tissue will release them. Personally I've reached balance in month 4 but It could come later or hopefully - earlier. Just take care of yourself and remember - things will regulate themselves! I hope for those positive effects for you. All the best! Alina |
Thanks for all of your responses.......it really is incredible what our bodies do.....
I can't believe that LCing has already affected something so integral (my TOM is like clock work and has been for 33 years now! Yes, I started at 10 years old  ). I'm about 10 days late at this writing......... |
