Atkins Bake mix Bread
 

I just bought Atkins bake mix. I made the recipe in the back of his book for protein bread. Although it's pretty gross it does satisfy my craving for bread with just 1.7 carbs per slice. How many slices would be safe to eat? I have been limiting myself to 1 slice a day. How does everyone else feel about the mix?

I think over and above controlling carbs, we need to be learning a new way to eat. One of the things that most of us need to learn is how to eat foods we love and enjoy in moderation. That said...it would be up to you, how many slices you could eat in a day and perhaps you can determine that by asking yourself whether or not YOU are in control?

Part two of my answer is that you'll need to be aware of whether or not indulging in this bread causes your weight loss to slow or stop.
