Dip to eat dry pork rinds with?

Is there a very low carb dip of any kind to eat the pork rinds with? They sure are getting dry. Thanks for your time and have a nice day.

Dip for Pork Rinds

Well, it's not carb free, but I buy cream cheese spread, add a little garlic, and yum!!

Hope that helps!

Hi!

Looks like we're all Newbies!

I just bought some pork rinds this weekend, but I can't quite get them down. The crunch is great, but the aftertaste is pretty hard to take. :(

Anyway, how about guacamole as a dip? You could probably make a nice lunch of it if you add a bit of lettuce.

Good Luck!

My favorite thing to eat with pork rinds is tuna salad....instead of bread or crackers...

:p

How about this?

how about using cream cheese, by itself or with chives in, or garden veggie, there are many to choose from these days or many varieties of sour cream dipsout there... just watch the carb levels in them, and keep track of how much, if you are keeping track...

Pork rinds

Tuna Salad? That is an awesome idea!! Yeah, the rinds can stick in your throat if you're not careful, I drink a lot of water with 'em
:)

I have a recipe in the Atkins cookbook for breading chicken breasts with crushed pork rinds...it's wild, the chicken ends up tasting like pork chops!!

Howdy Heidi!

I have tried a couple of dips from microwaveporkrinds.com . They are pretty good. I really like the BLTz. The carb count is a little higher than I would like, but it a nice treat occasionally.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have delicious cream cheese dips: smoked salmon, artichoke, etc. If not, you could had some artichoke hearts to cream cheese. That's what I do !

I buy chip dip or melt some cheese and use that.
What 'bout some sf peanut butter and sf jelly? its good that way too.

Have you tried to 'fry' your rinds? Its a great way to satisfy your craving for something sweet. Fry in butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and splenda.. and walla! (my kids LOVE it)

Would it be legal to use any cheese dip?

valmommy Thu, Oct-10-02 13:36

Cheese dip?

It would probably depend on what diet plan you are on, I haven't done Sugarbusters in awhile, but I think you can have stuff that is 2g or less of sugar, right? So, just check the label, I'm thinking cream cheese would be ok, not sure how much fat you are allowed, but you could use Neufatchel (sp?) if you wanted, I think it's lower in fat.

Pork Rinds... I love them. I am on Atkins (day four).. Are pork rinds allowed? Also,..I am a little bored with eggs for breakfast. Anyone have any alternate ideas?

danuttyone Fri, Oct-11-02 09:46

yes, pork rinds are allowed! congrats on getting through the hard 3 days.

lesseeeee.. you can have a mock danish (although i'm not sure where to locate the ingredients here as I spend more time on another lc site)

you can also make 'french toast' I believe you scramble eggs, soak some pork rinds until pasty.. then fry. I've been on this wol since may of 2001 and i've yet to try. although, the Mock Danish is so freaking good.. (8oz of cream cheese, 1 egg, a tad vanilla, 2 packets of sugar free sweetner. microwave for 2 minutes.. you'll be addicted.

valmommy Sat, Oct-12-02 22:45

Hooked for sure

The Mock Danish thing was waaaay too good! I split it w/my hubby, but it was STILL too many carbs for induction (8) - still enjoyed it, I'll just have to do penance on the treadmill ;)
