I'm starting again at midnight tonight - please wish me luck!

I know it sounds lame - and I will start with new starting weight (higher I'm sure :( ) tomorrow morning. I'm ready this time - have worked out what to do for stress.

Every day I'll take each boy for a 15 minute walk in the evenings.
Then do a 15 minute walk by myself. I'm sure that Alexander(5) and Edwin(4) will love the walks and I'll be doing some good for myself also.

I'm going to DO IT this time. I have to - my back is hurting, my knees are sore, I'M TOO FAT!!!!!!!

Good Luck!

Hey, Good Luck to you! Can you just imagine how great next years holiday season could be with "slim" clothes on???? Only those of us that have been through "fat" holiday seasons could understand just how great that would be!

Stick to the plan and enjoy all the protein (that's better than sugar to me)!! You can do.....I'm a new member here and have a very positive feeling that this website and forum could become by best friend of the diet........a "real buddy" can help alot.....

The very best of luck for a skinny 2003!!!

JUST DO IT

HI GAIL
YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST SOME OF YOUR WEIGHT. LOOK AT YOUR START OVER AS THE NEXT PHASE. IT HAS TO BE HARD WITH TWO LITTLE SNACK MONSTERS AROUND. I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD (GARRETT) AND HE IS SUCH A SNACK MONSTER. I TRY TO GIVE HIM HEALTHY SNACKS ALL OF THE TIME BUT THAT DOSEN'T ALWAYS JIVE. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING ABOUT THE NEW YEAR BEGINNING TOMMOROW, I AM STARTING OVER TOMMOROW ALSO. I DID NOT LOOSE IT REALLY BAD OVER THIS HOLIDAY. I DID HAVE AROUND 40-60 CARBS. I NEED TO GO DOWN BELOW 20 CARBS TO BE SUCCESSFUL. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER WHEN I DO. I WISH YOU LUCK WITH YOUR RE-DO!!! YOU CAN DO IT. LUCYLU

You can do it!

I'm totally in your corner...

...I know you can do it. You'll feel great and the satisfaction will be the icing on the LC cake.

Brace yourself...Induction can be awful. It made me awful moody and headachey. But once on the other side, I felt like a new man.

So per your request, I'm wishing you the best of luck!

I just weighed in this morning - took all my measurements

Bust, Midriff, Waist, Abdomen, Hips, Thighs, Calves and Arms. YUCK!!!! And I strayed so badly I gained back the weight + a bit. My period's about to start too.

I figure these stats will be fantastic for BEFORES!!!! I'm going to do measurements every Sunday morning (except this Sunday). Hopefully this won't be too often. I'm going to try to weigh in only 2X weekly but realize I probably won't hold to that.

Anyway, I'm starting over with a clean slate. Just had a huge cheeseburger, no bun, flavored with horseradish and a huge glass of water. Feeling kind of hungry still but I'll just pig out on low carb stuff to get through this first few tough days.

Has anyone here ever attended an Overeaters Anonymous meeting? I was thinking about going. I'm trying to learn more about avoiding stress eating - always my downfall.

Best wishes to all of you - happy new year, and happy low-carbing.

Gail

You're off to a good start, Gail!

I used to know someone who was a long time member of OA and if I remember correctly, their diet is also fairly low carb. I'm not sure how much it helped him because he was overweight for as long as I knew him and he never stuck to the plan when he was visiting, but he said it was a good support group.
