Psyillium Husk Powder anyone?

:help: I need to find ways to use this stuff! I’ve used it with protein drinks and even made a kinda chocolate “milk”, but would really like to find some more ways to use it. I tried water…yuck, and I don’t like it in iced tea either! It is very mild tasting. Got any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.

It can be a great addition to baked stuff, I used in my bread recipe.

baked is good

Thanks for the reply tamarian. I :agree: it is good in baked goods...I've used it in Atkins pancakes. I don't eat many baked stuff like bread though. I 'm looking for something on a daily basis. I'm really trying to up my fiber on a daily basis in addition to the vegetables I eat. :q: :yum:

EggNog

:idea: I made EggNog with it this morning. I thought it turned out quit well. Not of course like the holiday eggnog we all loved and enjoyed before this WOL, but I thought good none the less. ;)

EggNog

2 raw egg yolks
¼ cup heavy cream
6oz. Water

Blend well, then add;

1/8 tsp. or less vanilla
dash of allspice
dash or two of salt
liquid sweetener to taste
1 serving Psyillium powder

Blend lightly to mix. Always add the Psyillium last as it gets thick quick. :clap:

:thup: Thanks teri, using it on salads is a good idea, I'll try that. I need more ideas though, I use 3 heaping teaspoons a day or will as soon as I get used to the two I'm taken now. Thanks for responding! :wave:
