This is Close to Lawry's Season Salt

2 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp celery seed

This tastes pretty much like the original.
It leaves out the sugar and cornstarch.
The salt is high, but you could use less.

Today was the end of 14 days of induction. Will hit the scales tomorrow-WISH ME LUCK!

You made it

 You made it.
That is great. Keep up the good work. You will probably see great results on those scales. Don't forget, you have also dropped dress sizes. Sometimes you can get a little disappointed by the scales, but try your tightest clothes on and they should be losser.
Let us know how you did.

That sounds like a good combination. I agree with you about it being "lots of salt":)

I have, over time, tried to reduce salt in my cooking by using more herbs and herb mixtures. The mixes are not based in salt. In fact most of them do not contain sodium at all, except for the fact that herbs tend to be slightly salty. I've mixed my own spices, but I have found that it gets expensive to keep all the ingredients on hand.

A place I now go, for several years, is www.penzeys.com

They purvey high quality herbs and spices in different quantities. Their "herbs de provence" is an excellent mix. I use it on chicken and pork. They have many others. Check out their site when you can.

I am not affiliated with Penzeys in any way, so this is not a commercial plug. It's just an idea for anyone wanting better ways to make food more appealing. Penzeys is an excellent vendor and I feel comfortable doing business with them.

Good Luck!
