Designer Whey Protein Powder

I have just got a huge 2 lbs jug of french vnilla whey protein powder. I don't really want muscles or go any bigger but some people say that this enhances muscles growth. I just thought I could use it as a little snack or a pick-me-up now and then.
Should I still use it though?
it has 2g carbs but <1g fiber

I use Designer whey a lot. Good in shakes or smoothies. Also good stirred into yogurt or oatmeal - just take the oatmeal off the stove first and maybe add some water.

Cheers!

I rarely use it as a shake or smoothie base.
I use it to make "pancakes".

1 scoop powder
2 eggs
1/4 c cream

Sometimes spices as cinnamon or nutmeg; sometimes a few blueberries

Fry or nuke

I also often add 1/4 to 1/2 cup dry curd cottage cheese (but every time I mention this stuff - I'm asked what the heck it is). Guess farmer's cheese or ricotta or mascarpone could substitute; possibly even tofu. It is cheese curds, no whey (liquid). Many stores sell it alongside the cottage cheese; some don't stock it. Guess you have to look.

I am going to try those pancakes. Thanks for mentioning them. I never even thought of cooking with whey, or even buying it. Guess I've got a new frontier to poke around in.

What's wrong with muscles?

First off - whey is an excellent source of protein, and it will only help you gain muscles if you are seriously weight training. I use it in oatmeal, shakes, protein bars and mix it with my milk to pour over cereal.

Second - what's wrong with muscles anyway? Muscle weighs more than fat, so adding more muscle means you will be slimmer at a higher weight. You are already at the low end of the healthy range for your height. 100# is not a healthy weight for 5'6" - you would be nothing but skin and bones. Working out with weights would give you a sleaker, leaner body. Starving yourself to emaciation is not the answer, nor is it even attractive. Yes I can talk, I've been there.

A 2 carb protein powder can be worked easily into OWL :)

What was already suggested, plus mousses, muffins, and anythign you would use a bake mix for.

I agree that 100 is awfully thin for 5' 6" so at 120 you could even more easily work the powder into maintenance. :)

I use it most mornings for ahot cereal. 2 tbsp ground flax seeds, 2 tbsp unprocessed wheat bran, and 1 scoop designer whey. I add what ever for flavor, typically cinnimon. It is a nice filling way to start the day, or good for a snack other times.

And I agree, enhanced muscle growth is not a bad thing. A higher lean mass from muscle means a higher metabolism, improved circulation, less cellulite, and an overall tight toned look. Just dieting and losing lean mass means flabby areas will probably stick around.
