Here A Stall, There A Whoosh, Breaking through 300 !!!

I have stalled twice so far, once for almost 3 weeks, and again for about two weeks most recently. Thanks to all from Triple Digits who offered support through my first stall. That was distressing. The second stall did not wig me out as much.

After about two months, and roughly 27 pounds, I am about to break through the 300 pound barrier!

I cut out the salads for lunch, going back to deli meat rollups with cream cheese in the middle and I had a DOUBLE WHOOSH week!

All of a sudden I lost 2 pounds one day, 2 more the next, and another the day after!!!

Typical day:

Breakfast = 3 eggs fried or scrambled, with pepper jack or some other cheese, and with or without green salsa.

Lunch = generally deli meat rollups or leftover meat from dinner the night before

Snacks: One a day - usually a quarter cup raw almonds or pecans as snacks or two stalks of celery with cream cheese.

Dinner = steak, chicken, or pork chops, vegetable, simple salad, blue cheese or ranch dressing.

I continue to enjoy NOT BEING HUNGRY. You gotta love a diet like that!

Gotta love the atkins recipes too !!! My wife is such a great cook. She enjoys playing with the new recipes!

Congratulations! :yay: :yay:
You hung in there, and now the weight is coming off again!

I just finished a stall myself, and the weight has started to move downward again, but I was a bit too proud to ask for support.
I managed to hang in there, and now things are better.

Thanks for posting about the stalls, it really does help remind me that these things do happen, and then our body adjusts and starts losing again.

Thanks and WOW!

Rena

Way to Go, Daystar!!! Breaking through 300 is soooooooooo exciting!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get there soon!

DayStar Fri, Sep-05-03 20:18

Hey LCchickFL - looks like you did this yourself not too long ago!

Way to go 4 u !

I notice you have the longest no cheat streak going of any I have seen on this board.. Wow !

So tell me - does that no cheat thing mean no donuts, or never going one carb over your plan?

For instance, I have been no cheat since day one (about 75 days now) if the taste of lo-carb ice cream I had a week or so ago is not held against me, and if my garden salsa binge of last weekend is not held against me.

Fresh Salsa is something that God and the garden only bring once a year, so I had some (on pork rinds instead of nacho chips). I Chopped a few Tomatos, some onion, a chili pepper, added a spoon or two of green salsa, salt, a touch of rep pepper sauce, some black pepper, some fresh cilantro, and a dash of catchup (secret ingredient - don't use much, but it always seems to help with the flavor).

So, is my salsa a cheat? What do you say?

Hi Daystar,
First of all, let me congradulate you on the great job you are doing...way to go getting into the 200's.
But, I am confused as to why you might think that salsa is a cheat...you have been LCbing for more than the induction two weeks, so there is no way it can be a cheat...I suspect that a cheat would entail bread, flour, sugar, candy, etc...not good healthful food like salsa.
Keep up the good work...

hurray! good for you! you havent cheated..you KNOW when you cheat! I went off lc for a day yesterday... it technically wasnt a "cheat" either since I just choose a day off to work up my will to go on...I leanred a GOOD lesson too! I HAVE to stay on the plan or I eat like a maniac! :( glad to be back home to the safety zone!
