Help with Fat Ratios

I have been really good with keeping my fat percentage at about 65%.....some days its 67%, some days its 64%.

I plan my menus out daily, and with what I have decided to have for dinner (low carb deep dish pizza), my fat ratio will end up at 72% for the day. I can always change what I will eat, and go for something like chicken which will give me a higher protein/lower fat percentage, but I really want to have the pizza tonite as a treat! I'm even avoiding cheese all day to make up for the fact that the pizza is heavy on cheese.

Is it a big deal to let fat ratios be a bit higher one day or will that throw me off track? Thanks!

lauren:

The litmus test is always --
are you losing weight or inches?

Everyone's body is different. I would suggest that your fat ratios changing slightly would not, generally, throw you off track.

That having been said, it might. I just doubt it.

You'll just need to stick with it and see what happens. :)

As they say, Your Mileage May Vary.

Yes, I am losing weight and inches.....26.5 pounds down since Feb 16th when I started. I am however, very dilligent in keeping my rations at correct percentages, and I also watch my caloric intake. I guess one day of a higher fat level wont hurt me too much. Thanks.

I would say the occasional higher fat day will do you no damage. I would suggest monitoring your calories on the higher fat days. If you do experieince a stall or gain, you'll be in a better position knowing whether the fat, or more likely overdoing calories were the culprit.
