Bubba's Babe is on the Move
My first exercise log. not a diet log or "feeling" journal, just exercise. :)
So far this week, I walked 3 times 45 min each which is about 2 miles. along with the 2 dogs :) I got the website of couch to 5K. I'm going to find a 5K around Christmas to run. to help w/training. going to start tomorrow. Here's my purposed schedule: Mon, Thurs, Sat: train for 5K Tues, Wed, Fri: walk w/dogs Sun: day off After I complete my 5K, then next year I want to start strength training. I think that's too much right now, so I'm putting that off until I get into some kind of cardio shape. I know how important strength training is, but Rome wasn't built in a day. so here I go, with this journal to keep my honest and focused !! Lori :p |
today I started my 5K training !! I kind of screwed up though. I was suppose to walk for 5 min, then run/walk for 20, well I was thinking that the TOTAL was 20. Won't happen again :)
5 min walk ~ 3.3 mph 15 of walking ~3.5 and running ~ 4 5 min cool down Also am adding abs 1 set incl 10 straight, 10 left side, 10 right side Did 3 sets of abs 10 pushups 5 min stretch It was good a work out :) even if I didn't read the directions right ;) |
ok, here are my goals:
Turkey Trot: Nov 22 (thanksgiving) walk/jog 5K Jingle Bells: Dec 1: jog 5K Reware for Jingle Bells: 1 half hour massage :) for some weird reason, I'm excited about this. I suddenly have this "ball of energy" and I actually "want" to train. crazy !! |
5K workout: (30 min workout)
5 min warm up 20: walk/jog 5 min cool down 2 sets of abs |
30 min walk with dogs. about 1.5 miles
rode my horse (that counts with saddling and all the trotting I do) |
day off: no exercise

5 min warm-up 20 min walk/jog (60 sec job/90 sec walk) 5 min cool down 4 sets of abs |

5 min warmup walk 20 min (90 sec jog/120 sec walk) 4 min cool down walk |

ok, got the dogs out. we walked at a pretty good clip, not strolling, but not speed walking. We walked for an hour !! so chaulk up another 60 mins and about 2 1/4 miles :)
