Single LC'ers 4th of July Challenge.
 
In the grand tradition of challenges based on drinking holidays, This is the challenge for single LC'ers (and their friends) trying to drop weight by the 4th of may. Almost two months.

Please introduce yourself by stating your current weight, your goal weight, and any other LC related goals for the period (such as additional exercise or cutting out frankenfoods). Check in every friday, with the final check in on the Sunday morning of July 4th.

Well, As of this morning I hit my goal for the previous challenge, 225 lbs!
My goal is to drop 15 lbs, just under two pounds a week. The idea of hitting 210 sounds damn good... And dare of dream of onederland before the summer is out?

Alright nw - sign me up for this one. :D And congrats on hitting your goal for the last challenge. :D

Except I'm not weighing until May31st so I can't post my weight or weekly losses until then.
I have a vacation planned for the end of September..... a Mexican cruise...... so I need to stick to Atkins until then so I'm not mistaken for a whale in the water. :rolleyes: It would suck to be harpooned! :o

Anyway...... my goals for the next 8 1/2 weeks....
1) Plan meals ahead.... always helps to keep me on plan
2) Keep fridge stocked with LC alternatives to high carb junk
3) Check in here daily and run here when feeling tempted
4) Bike or do some other form of exercise (Curves/treadmill) 5 days/week
5) Weigh myself on May 31st......

Hey People, plenty of time left to join in the fun!

Anyway, since it IS friday, I'm checking in at the same weight I started at... 225. Given the short week, I'm not surprised.

Ok! I'm in! Back from Tahoe yesterday and I'm up to 290 again, but I'll be back to 287 soon! I'm sure it's from all the alcohol I consumed in the last 4 days!

Goal for 4th of July:

exercise 5x week
25-35 carbs daily
lose 10 pounds to 280

That should do it for me! I have a 10 day vacation in Italy coming up, but I'm planning to stay low carb until the very last day there. Then if I really need pasta, I'll have some :)

Happy Friday!

Anyone else want to join the challenge??? It's like a little private club now. We're exclusive like the Spider Room in Hollywood :D

My monthly weigh in at curves is tomorrow, so I'll post results after. I think I've lost the Tahoe alcohol consumption weight now :) I'm hoping for some big inches gone this month!

I didn't get in from my flight until 2:30am last night, so I forgot to weigh in this afternoon when i woke up. So I'll post back again tomorrow with any progress.

Well, I finally weighted in this morning, at 225, the same as last week. This marks the first week the scale hasn't moved at all for me. I blame it on the heavy drinking last weekend, and the moderate drinking last night instead of the cycling I had planned.

So on the bike this afternoon to try and shed some excess carbage.

WooHoo! The weekend Whooosh fairy payed another visit.
Woke up this morning 3lbs lighter! I guess my little bike ride yesterday helped.

Now I'll probably gain a pound of that back, but I'm fine with that.

congrats on the 3 pounds Nowonder. That is awesome!

I'm holding steady at 287, so no weight loss for me this week :( That was a 3 pound loss last month. I have got to start exercising more. Need to get that number up to about 8! I'm not quite ready to eat less. I'm sure this month was low cause of all the liquor I consumed while in Tahoe! I think I had between 10-15 drinks daily! Oh yeah I can hold the liquor, even while low carbing :)

I hate challenges. Everyone always does better than me. Now that I am officially done pissing and moaning...I AM IN!!!

I am finally on the loosing trend again. This morning I am at 218. I wanna be under 200 for the 4th!
