Big ??-label says 0 carb but sugar is listed

Okay, I am studiously reading the ingredients list on things like Hellman's mayonnaise and Ken's Steakhouse Ranch dressing. I thought it was okay to be eating these foods as they are listed as acceptable for induction.

However, what happens when sugar is listed on there as the 7th ingredient? Are there any dressings or mayos out there without ANY sugar? Does it matter? To play it safe I've been using oil and vinegar on my salads (homemade, with a clove a garlic cut up into the bottle). But I did use some mayo today for deviled eggs.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
TIA!!!

If you live in the USA and the sugar is less than 1 percent they list it as 0. I think one can get a bit paranoid about tiny traces of sugar.

Hi Beachmum,

As long as there's less than 2 g of carbs per serving, you're okay. There's only a trace of sugar. There are brands that are sugar free, but they tend to be the expensive refrigerated kind. I stick with good ol' Kraft.
