weird question...
 

I have been in ketosis about a week now and I've noticed that when I go to the bathroom (#1) its has a very bright neon yellow color.. much like the color of a yellow highlighter. Has anyone ever had this occur? Do you know why it is happening, and is it a sign of something unhealthy or is it just the ketones?

What suppliments are you taking? Some multivitamins will change the color.

You could also be dehydrated making the urine more concentrated. Are you drinking alot of water?

I am taking Basic 3, Atkins Essential Oils formula, and GNC brand L-Carantine... I've been drinking 8 glasses of water a day.

My pee turned neon after I started taking a multi-vitamin. I have heard something about how the vitamins that don't get absorbed pass through and come out in your pee, turning it that funky color. There's absolutely nothing wrong with neon pee, but some brands make it much less obvious for me. I guess every brand is different.

No worries....it's the B vitaminsin your multi. If you took only a B-complex and nothing else, it would be yellow.

:lol: :lol: :lol: I would say it's definitely the B vitamins. I added B complex (stress tabs) to my vitamin handful and was shocked when I went to flush and the water was NEON, highlighter yellow!! What the heck did I eat???? Then, realized it was the vitamin.

Now, it's almost a cue to take my vits--pee not yellow? Oops, forgot my vits :lol: :lol:

Nicole, I do the same thing. If my pee isn't yellow it reminds me to take my vitamins. LOL

Yes, as my toddler son, who is now in his 30's said after he had taken his vitamins and was going to the bathroom, "my tee tee is yellow as a duck".
