What is cream, heavy cream, half&half? Are they all the same or different?

Hi Amy,
Cream and heavy cream are really suppose to be the same thing but now days they are always fixing things that don't need to be fixed. Cream now days may have heavy cream,skim milk, mono and diglycerides, polysorbate 80 and carrageenan. To get real heavy cream the ingredients are one "Cream". Half and Half is half milk and half cream. Confusing isn't it. :confused:
