The scale's not exactly moving, but my pants.....

Well, my pants are feeling looser. Atleast the pants I wear to work. decided to try on the pants I used to be able to wear to work, and they felt slightly better. I didn't strain so much to button them. (Incidentally all my pants are size 14's, but some fit loose and some fit tight, go figure. Different companies.) It must mean something's happening. The scales not moving as much though which frustrates me to no end. I've been on induction for 4 weeks now. I've also been keeping track of what I eat. I guess I need to do a better job of it. Trying to get to the gym atleast 5 days a week. I'm lucky if I drag my butt in 3 days a week. Anyone else find they're losing very slowly? I wish I could be like everyone else here who lost a bunch in the first few weeks. It's going so slow. Part of me wants to give up, but I'm forcing myself to keep pushing past the frustration. Argh! Thanks for letting me vent. Bless you for reading my mindless babble. :)

Congrats!

Welcome to the club! That is the way most people notice their results. You will shrink rather than lose pounds. I tried on a pair of pants last night that I have not been able to wear for the past 8 years. They looked pretty darn good. I may wear them this weekend.

The less you need to lose, the slower it will come off. All of us that lost a lot in the first 2-4 weeks have over 50lbs to lose. Be patient...it's working. I'm guessing you don't have 50+ to lose because you said you are a size 14 - I apologize if I assumed incorrectly.

Hi, I've been on Atkins since May 1st, and have only lost 12 lbs, but I've lost over 20 inches and a full dress size. If you are exercising a lot, then you will slim up before you will see the scales move. Just remember that lean muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. Frankly, I weigh maybe once a month. I go by how I feel and how lose my clothes are getting. Hope this helps.
