Talking Rain Botanicals & Atkins Ketchup (Surrey Costco)

I was at Costco in Surrey today and came across the Talking Rain Botanicals "Ice", its was 24 for $17.89 I believe. I thought I had read somewhere here that people were looking for these. I also found Atkin's Ketchup, sold in a 2 pack for $5.99, I just tried it on sausage and not to bad at all.

Take look around....they have low carb wraps and pitas in the bakery.....also the pepperoni sticks in the cooler that come in the 2 bag pack are super tasty and low carb........and try the Atkins ice cream bars there....very good!!!!

Okay here's my thing... as far as ketchup... I llooovvve it! Heinz is the only one for me(try to use it sparingly now) but we don't have any lc heinz here. Is the Atkins good? What kind of flavor does it have. I don't know if I wanna go there (lc ketchup). I've tried the Carb Options BBQ sauce and really truley thought it was terrible... total after taste etc.. Is it worth messing with lc ketchup?

I like the Carb Options Ketchup far better then the Atkins ketchup, and the price is better too!

I also like the Carb Options Hickory BBQ sauce, but BBQ is far more variable in terms of taste and preference. I found the carb options ketchup to be the closest to Heinz I have tasted.

I also found the Carb Options ketchup to be very close in taste to Heinz. I haven't tried their barbecue sauce yet.

Ugh! The Atkins ketchup is like eating tomato paste!! I am a ketchup connoisseur and would never recommend that mismatched concotion to anyone.

Fortunately, as other forumers have said, the Heinz ketchup is simply top-notch and highly recommended. It's hard to find in Canada, but I just drive over to America to buy it in bulk ;)

???? Are you refering to the heinz low carb ketchup? If so then no, I don't think we have it here yet.... I just use the real thing sparingly and count it towards my carb count.... it hasn't seemed to give me further sugar cravings so I think I'll stick with it...I don't use it everyday so I think I'm okay!;)

Hi All!

I'm in oNtario and I can't find ANY low-carb Ketchup. I only seen it once...Atkins at 9.99 (yes $10) a bottle. Ouch!!!!!!!

Instead I found a recipe for low carb ketchup online and I made some myself. It was pretty tasty I might add! All the ingredients were: White vinegar, cinnamon sticks, celery seed, whole cloves, onion powder, tomato paste, water, and salt, and sweetener of your choice (I used the brown sugar style sugar twin). It tastes delicious :yum: I was surprised.

If anything...I found it a little sweet and I would put less sweetener in it next time. Best of all, I paid only 10 for ALL of the ingrediants, and I have enough to make 20 cups of ketchup. Not shabby.

This ketchup was good mixed with horseradish to make shrimp sauce too.

I'd be interested in low-carb Heinz... The Atkins brand tastes like yucky BBQ sauce, I don't like it at all. I have yet to try the Carb Options brand, though. So far I've been please with the Carb Options products, but we'll see.

Yes - the Carb Options Ketchup is far better than the Atkins brand. I find the Atkins tastes more like Worcestershire Sauce (yuck).

The Pita pockets and Tortilla shells are great at Costco too.

The bags of Almonds are a good buy at Costco too...they're in the baking Needs sections....HUGE bag for about $10.

Yes, The Botanical Ice are great- we get those all the time. mmmmm very refreshing. :agree:

The flats of Kirkland Water is a good deal there too at $4.49 for 30 bottles.

We also pick up the 4 pack of Portabella Mushrooms at Costco too for our "pizza's"!!
