Encouraging words

Hi, I'm new to participating in the forum tho I've read it for quite some time and there are so many helpful things here. I have been on the Atkins diet since the middle of February and total have lost 17 lbs. I've been on a stall for about 10 days but this morning, two lbs. were gone. Yeah! Your encouraging words have helped me to get this far. Thanks!

Hi, Lynn! Welcome!

Congratulations on the 17 pounds, the 2 pounds, and sticking through that tough time in between. If you've been reading here, you probably read that this pattern is typical -- but that doesn't make it any easier.

So, go Lynn :) :cheer:

I hope you'll keep posting and let us know how you're doing.

Congrats on the 2 lb. loss and good job for sticking with it. Stalls are perfectly normal when you are loosing weight; your body needs a breather once in a while to adjust to the new weight. Stick with it and evaluate what you are eating to make sure the stall isn't being caused by something you are eating and the weight will start to come off again when your body is ready to start loosing again. Low carbing isn't a science...it works differently for each of us and requires a lot of "tweaking" as we go, but in the end it's all worth it to feel great and look even better.
