Fran Gare's Miracle Sweet and Decadent Desserts??
 

Has anyone tried these? I bought the sweetener (made with Xylitol - preferred by dentists) and the chocolate bake mix.

I used the bake mix to make a great chocolate mousse - beated up the mix with whipping cream - it is THE best. I also used it to make hot chocolate, by adding it to hot water, then adding cream. Then whipping cream on top. Pretty good. Next is fudge and brownies. This stuff is so good, I can't stop dipping my finger into the mix.

The Xylitol is a new sweetener and tastes even better than white sugar. No cramping or other nasty afteraffects either. A bit higher in carbs, but a glycemic index of 7 (sugar is 80 or 100, I think). Fran Gare co-authored the Atkins cook books.

I would love to hear other opinions about it.

Once the humidity stops here in Toronto, I will try making biscotti with the almond bake mix. Maybe coat with Ross Dark chocolate. MMMM.

This stuff really tastes good.
