please help Ive stalled

I am in the 3rd week of the Atkins diet. I started at 186.5 lbs. I lost a lot of weight the first week, by eating lots of hamburger, cheese and eggs. I was then down to 178.5. I have been teetering between a pound up or down for the past 2 weeks. I am not sure if I am doing this diet wrong to produce more loss.
An example of my daily diet

A few bites of scrambled eggs with cheese and heavy cream
1 Choc. Atkins shake

A salad for lunch with extrememly low carbs/no sugar
with a slice of turkey or meat

An Atkins peanut butter bar for a snack
A diet coke

Meat for dinner with a salad

About 2 glasses of water a day
About 12 peanuts for a snack

My carbs are always below 20......Am I eating the wrong things....I did read the whole book.

Start back over on induction again.

I'd say for now cut the Atkins shake, eat more of the eggs. Cut out the peanut butter bar, and drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day. This should get you moving again.

Also are you exercising?

Other than chase my kids around ...I really do not exercise that often.

I agree that cutting out the frankenfoods is a good idea -- it definitely stalls some people. You might also try switching over from diet coke to a soft drink that is sweetened with splenda instead of aspartame, such as Diet Rite. Or you might have to skip the diet drinks altogether.

Although I agree you should cut out the peanut butter bar and see if this helps, snacking can still be a healthy part of your diet. I eat three meals a day, and two snacks (1 in the afternoon, 1 in the evening after dinner). My new fave afternoon snack is cream cheese rolled in prosciutto (thin-shaved Italian ham). If you stick to just 2 T cream cheese spread out in 4 slices of prosciutto, your carb count is only 2g. Yummy!

A stall is 6 weeks or longer without losing. Your body needs to adjust to the weight that you've already lost.

Drink more water, your body needs water to flush the fat out, you should drink 64 to 80 oz of water.

I would also stop the shakes, bars & nuts they can stall some people. For snacks have celery with cream cheese or some meat snack.

It looks like you are not eating enough and that can cause a stall. You may need to eat more fat.

congrats on your loss!! you realy need a lot more water. try for about 75-120 oz a day

I drink AT LEAST a gallon of water each day. If I drink less than that, I don't lose. Just a helpful hint

If the diet coke has caffeine and aspartame (nutra sweet) you should cut it out of the diet for now. Both will wake the monster machine (pancreas).

I stalled, and found out that I needed to eat more fat!! For some reason, I started trimming the fat off of my meat, and not eating the sour cream and real butter and oils, and I stopped loosing!! Someone in this forum suggested that I try more fat, and it got things burning again!! I eat an atkins bar now and then, but I only drink the new lo-carb slim fast shakes, they taste great, and have lots of fiber!! only 2g of carbs per can. (for us women readers ) It is thick and chocolate, so it also satifies the TOM cravings too!!
