McDonalds Active life salad
I tried the McDonalds grilled chicken salad today!! It was great--didn't eat the entire thing (it's huge) and also added my 0 carb ranch dressing. Anyone tried this yet??

a friend of mine got the apple & grape one- she said it was great- too many carbs for me. im not a big fan of fast food salads anyways, but i wanna get one just to get the stepometer. hehe

i know--been wearing my step-o-meter all day--it really works!!!
Also the grilled chicken only has 9 carbs!!
Wow..thats a lot of carbs for a salad!!!! 9 Carbs!!! :0
I had teh chicken the other night too. Watch out for thier dressings though.. the ranch has 9 carbs! I just used my own.
The 9 carbs may have included the salad dressing ---I used my own.
I just looked it up on the mcd's site... their 4 piece chicken nuggets only has 10 and that bacon ranch salad WITHOUT dressing has 9.. I don't understand.. surely thats not right?
yikes- 9 carbs for a salad IS alot
I got the taco salad and just took out all those tortilla strips. It was delicious.. and the sour cream is a must add! I only used a tablespoon of the salsa... it doesn't really need it!

Speaking from a woman whose hubby is a manager at Taco Bell...I prefer the taco salad THERE minus the shell and beans. I wouldn't eat the salsa or lime strips either, just some hot or fire sauce and a little extra sour cream. MMmmmm!!!
Don't forget to subtract any fiber from the count on the salads.
I had the California Grilled Cobb salad, minus dressing +tomatoes and it was very yummy.. 9 Total Carbs -3 Fiber for 6 Carbs for the salad. The tomatoes must add a few carbs to it, so I figure its under maybe 4-5 Carbs for it, and its easily a meal with 33 grams of protein.
The step-o-meter is cute too, though dont play to roughly with it or else it will stop wanting to stay closed! heheh |
