i'm not sure but it looks like the person is holding a tape measure, which would make sense.

Yup, person holding a tape measure. And above him is your percentage of progress from you original weight to current weight, headin on down to goal!

Wow, I didn't know that either... being new here and all too. Now I am excited too because I went back and looked at mine and as of today I am 10% toward goal... that is sooooo cool.
