i won't say never again...

but I don't think I need to CHEAT again....

Last night my husband and I celebrated our anniversary so we went to our favorite cajun restaurant. I was doing ok until they brought the crusty french bread out...it was over and downhill from there! And BOY! Do I feel like crappola today...groggy, bloated and I STILL feel full from dinner. I know you're supposed to eat every meal but I couldn't fathom eating eggs and bacon this morning... uh-uh.. I'm not sure I'll be able to eat lunch!

ugh... :Puke:

Giggle4fun :)

I know what you mean

I used to bake French bread for my family every weekend

I could eat a baguette by myself

Oh the discomfort.

Nothing like a little wheat addiction.

Nothin' like some fluffy white bread to get you back on the LC wagon the very next day!!

Come on, you can do it!!

Who among us...

...isn't tempted by a warm loaf of bread?

For me, I have to avoid even the first bite. It's unfortunate, but true.

Next time ya'll head out for dinner, just aks the server not to bring the bread...unless your husband wants it. It's easier to not have it on the table than it is to resist it. I mean, especially if it makes you feel icky the next day. Why eat something that makes you feel bad physically?

lol when I feel like that, I usually eat like nothing the next day. (I'll eat like dinner thats it lol) In my experience, the bloated, crappy feeling goes away faster when you don't add more food to it. :daze:

you're right...

Absolutely Slim...the further away I got from Monday night's dinner, the better I felt. But I still took it easy that day. Virtually no carbs all day. Iusually eat between 30-40 and I don't think I even broke 20..but I felt fine doing that..and I haven't once had a craving for bread. It might have broken that for me. The other part of it I regret? I was a half pound from my first mini goal and I probably could have broke 220 this week. But I'm back up 2 pounds  oh well..

I have to stop

Before the first bite too.
Or at least I think so.
I have always been so carb out of control...and I can eat such quantities.. I have to be very very careful
But its okay.. I think of all the good things that are around this time of year too.
nuts..
Cheese..
meats.. cool stuff
and when they don't have it.. I take it!

When we go out to eat, I take my enzyme pills with me, that way if I do eat more carb than I plan, I won't be so miserable.
We also need to quit beating ourselves up when we slip or struggle, particularily this time of year. What is the purpose of enjoying ourselves if we feel guilty about what we eat. Just consider you are trying to fix yourself, in many ways, not just in eating but how we picture the use of food. Stressing over what we eat, when we eat and how we eat, does not help the situation, it could actually trigger the need for more comfort food. I'm with Poofie look at all the other fun stuff we have around to eat. Things everyone else is beating them selves for eating as well as all the cookies, cakes, and candy. We do have a bit more choice and relief this time of year than all the other "fad DIE with a T's" out there.
