Ice cream?

I was looking in Men's Health and there was an article about low carb diets. And they had some pictures of meat..and cheese..and then there was a picture of Ice cream...and I was like Wtf? If we can eat real cream because it's low in carbs, is there some sort of ice cream out there with very low carbs? Like ice cream made out of real cream or something? What's the scoop? :)

There's Le Carb "ice cream"

and you can find it at Wal-Mart. It has 6 carbs per 1/2 cup, but I find even less than that to be satisfying. I've never over-indulged in ice cream, so maybe I just have restraint in that ONE area. LOL

The flavors I've seen are: vanilla, homemade vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. I think they're quite good!

ICE CREAM

I found the fastest and easiest way to whip the cream is to use a handi mixer, like a thunderstick. I got mine at Walmart for about $10, I use it all the time!

While it's freezing, it's best to stir it up once in a while so it stays more creamy than frozen. But if you don't, it just gets more solid, but it's still good.

Strawberry Ice Cream (I just made this tonight!!)
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
2 Tbsp Splenda
5 Large Strawberries

Whip the cream and Splenda. Slice the strawberries and add them to the whipped cream. Blend them until they are mixed in enough to your taste. I like small bits of them left in the mix.

Chocolate Ice Cream
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
3 Tbsp Splenda
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder

Whip all together and freeze.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
2 Tbsp Peanut Butter
1 Tbsp Splenda

Whip all together and freeze.

If you choose to use the Sugar Free peanut butter, use an extra Tbsp of Splenda.
