LBW with a bad knee?

Just starting BFL, but my knee is pretty messed up and I'm going to go get an MRI done on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do for LBW or should I just do upper body on those days?

Do not do any lunges, knee presses or leg raises with machine weights. That just hastens the cartilage damage and erosion of the knee. Trust me...I learned the hard way. You can do leg lifts with the weighted ankle bands.

You want to strengthen the muscles around your knee but not put pressure on the knee joint itself.

That sounds like a hard question to answer. I'd talk to a physiotherapist or a doctor that specializes in sport medicine about it. But I'd be concerned about making it worse and I certainly wouldn't do anything that causes pain while doing it.

Good luck, and try to do what you can working around the problem and I'm sure you will still see results.

I agree with Arnie.

Great. You might want to bring a list of the leg exercises with you so that he can okay or not each one.
