fat in fort worth

hello everyone !
I'm on my 7th day of induction and have already lost 6 lbs. I am pleased !
I had my first real TEST yesterday when my Mother wanted me to have lunch with her in Dallas. We went to a nice restaurant and the thought did come to me that I could eat what I wanted because this was a special occasion. It's a good thing I had a friend with me who is also on induction. She spotted a salad on the menu that was almost Atkins friendly. Once we got the salads, we removed what we couldn't eat and proceeded to have a wonderful meal. Thank God for friends !
I've still got about 30 lbs. to lose, but I intend to make this a WOL.

Welcome Pati....congrats on your week 1 success! I'm a recent re-starter and had a big test today too. Boston Pizza fieldtrip! Yuck! But I managed to get through it and am very proud of myself for doing so. A quick suggestion, if the ingredients of the salad are listed in the menu, just ask for certain things ( like croutons) not to be put on in the first place and it will save you time picking. Good luck on your journey!

Most places have food you can eat. Salads, eggs, bacon, cheeses, meats. You may have to have them cook it differently. I've found that if you ask they don't seem to mind at all. I love ordering a vegie plate.

Good luck and welcome.
