full fat yogurt

I found full fat yogurt at Trader Joes but what can I eat with it now???????????

Lisa N Tue, Feb-11-03 17:04

What I do is slice up a couple of strawberries, add a little Splenda and enjoy! :D

Some people use sugar free syrups like DaVinci's. Another way to go is to sprinkle on some SF Jello powder in the flavor of your choice. Or if you're not in the mood for sweet, just add a little salt, a clove of garlic, and some cubed or grated cucumber - a wonderful summer salad or sauce, depending on whether you cube or grate. Some dill isn't bad with it, either.

Was it a plain yogurt? Other flavors??

Just curious, I'll have to check out TJ's!

by Straus, it was a large conyainer of plain. I didn't see flavored but that doesn't mean they weren't out, that place is always packed out! It was only like 1.89 also!!!
They also had plain on goats milk yogurt

OMG

This stuff is awesome. I have never tasted yogurt like this and I LOVE yogurt. This is creamy, smooth, not real tart and SMOOTH. I put just a tiny few berries in it and some SF jello, yummy. This is NOTHING like the low fat yogurt

Lisa N Tue, Feb-11-03 18:12

If you're craving vanilla yogurt, just add some vanilla extract. Voila! Vanilla yogurt. Don't forget to count the carbs, though. :)

LadyBug555 Tue, Feb-11-03 18:50

I can't recall how many we count tho

Yogurt counts as 4 carbs/cup (pay no attention to the nutrition label!). I eat mine 1/2c yogurt, 1/2c cottage cheese, chopped up frozen or fresh strawberries and splenda. The total carb count is like 9 or something...but I've decided that I must have it every day for breakfast. It has become the highlight of my day and it's incredibly good for me...so there!

Just a note: the other day I had run out of cottage cheese (which I add for the protein and to cut the sour of the yogurt), so I just had berries and splenda in the yogurt. I was famished within an hour! It caused some incredible cravings or hunger or something....maybe just wasn't enough protein for my hypoglycemic self . Nevertheless, I'll never eat it by itself like that again!!
