Quickie No Carb/Low Carb Snack?

Hello all,

I've been trying to find some no-low carb snacks that I can have during induction and onwards that are not sweet. I have a horrible way with sweets and snacking in general (although I'm not really hungry, I still have the cravings, although since Atkins it's gone way down). But I'd like some options for snacks that you can just whip up without much preparation and are low in carbs. The only ones I know of are string cheese and Deviled Eggs (although I boil the eggs in the morning and keep a stock in the fridge in case I feel like it). Anyone have any others?

Thanks,
Tam

meat in any form. Check deli meats for added sugars, but if there are none, they are simple snacks. Jerky (home made or health food store). A kosher, additive-free beef hot dog. Leftover cold pork chop, chicken leg.

Gourmet cheeses--have many different flavors around.

celery spread with cream cheese (flavored with chives or olives if you'd like)

Post-induction, macadamias, almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds

HTH!

Non-carb snack idea

Most pepperoni contain zero carbs and are easy to carry around. Just becareful to not eat too much because they contain sodium nitrate, which Atkins recommends not to eat too much of. Try also sugarfree jello. I also like the Atkins Breakfast bars which contain 2 net carbs.

I love deli meat wrapped around ________________ just about anything! Mayo, mustard, cheese, pickle, pepperoni...the possiblities are endless. Also very portable...
