Peanut Butter
If I have any love for a particular kind of food, it has to be peanut butter!! I'm on my second week of induction, and know that nuts are not allowed while on induction. I bought some peanut butter at our local health food store (they just grind the peanuts for you and put them in a little container), and just wanted to know when I can have my peanut butter again!! This peanut butter is as natural as you can get!!
Although nuts are not allowed on induction, what about peanut butter? I know that sounds like a silly question, 'cause where does peanut butter come from? NUTS!!! But with absolutely nothing added, why wouldn't it be allowed? Pam |

Nope, sorry, but I'd say it's not allowed. It's natural, yes....but it's made from nuts and they're not allowed.
But! I did eat nuts twice during induction and still lost over 10# in the first two weeks. I had the nuts both times because I was feeling weak and in need of food. I figured they were loaded with protein and fat, so it was the best thing to grab (both times choices were severely limited). I also have a whole lot more to loose than you do! If you want the peanut butter simply because you crave it, I'd say forget it during induction. If nothing else it will prove that you are in control, not food. On the other hand, if you feel like you have to have it, have it.....but have just a small amount. |
Actually peanuts are a legume....related to peas and beans I believe.
