Oh no I've got a Homer belly

:D I think I've got a Homer belly, not from beer and dorito's but from
losing weight.
I know one episode of the Simpsons there was a test to see how overweight Homer was : they tested it by giving a little push to the belly and counted the time before it stopped wiggling.
My belly is also very wobbly.
My jeans fit perfectly standing up, but sitting down, my stomach (spare tire)
.....(not a pretty sight)

Mine is wobbly too - looks like bread dough :). But at least it is shrinking, we will just have to live with homer bellies for awhile :)

I'm having this same problem ! When I sit down in jeans, I feel like I have a deflated tire around my waist !!!!!!!!!

I always had a homer tummy, now I just have less of one, I am hoping that I won't be left with to much extra skin when I am done losing, on can hope and dream. So far so good, I am shrinking with no wrinkly skin.

If you really want to see something funny, lie down on your bed and then turn sideways! :doah:

MaryToY, just watch out that there is not someone laying to close to you or he/she is getting slammed

I love doing that because my belly flops over and from a side profile I look like I have a great waist and my hip bones stick out far and I get that hollow from my bones to the middle of my belly that I dont have when I stand.

Yes, I am nuts!

Belly...

I am close to 300 lbs. right now because I was in a serious car accident that limited my mobility for close to two years. I was used to going to the gym twice every day and was unable to do that for two full years. I gained nearly 100 lbs.

Prior to the accident, I was down to around 200 lbs...this was after being as high as 400 lbs before. I was 400 lbs about 5 years ago and (having not even heard of Atkins) lost it through diet and exercise over the period of three years. When I finally reached the 200 lb. level, I had a ton of extra skin hanging from my stomach and chest. I researched and asked around and found that the only solution is to get a $10k surgical procedure done. With the skin flapping around I couldn't even bring myself to go shirtless in public, so I started considering the surgery.

Then the accident happened.

Now, I'm back on my way down losing the weight again. Once I reach my goal weight I have already set aside the money to pay for the surgery.

I hate to sound like a bearer of bad news, but the hanging loose flabs of skin only gets worse the more weight you lose. Some people come to accept it, but the only way to rid yourself of it is surgically.
