period question

ok...to make a long story short, i was wondering if being on atkins or being on atkins and going off for a few months has effected your monthly cycles. I was on this wol religiously for 4 months, then wandered off. am now on it again. My cycle this month was like a week early. I'm 42, so i'm also wondering if my hormonal levels might be heading toward menopause, therefore screwing up my cycle, this is the first month this has happened. usually, i'm quite regular. flutterbye :

For the first time in years, mine actually arrived at a "normal" time (approx 28 days between) instead of whenever it wanted.

Except for this month, because I really blew it on the carbs a couple days beforehand, I've also been pain-free.

This is wonderful. I also notice that the amount is manageable, rather than running down my legs (and I'm sorry to offend anyone who doesn't care for such graphics).

On another note, 43 shouldn't be too old, but each person is different in the way their metabolism and body changes occur.

So I guess the short answer is - when I eat correctly, my body responds by behaving correctly; when I stray, it reminds me.

When i First started Atkins I had my Period for 2 weeks strieght. it cam a week early and lasted to when it should have really ended. I am 28 and so my hormones should be fine this WOE just messes up your periods.

I'm not having cramps anymore...no pains at all. Usually have to take tylenol, pamprin, midol, something. Hope it stays like this for good.

it usually corrects itself if you really stay with the wol. i used to go off and on and it really messes up your hormones. i have been stictly following for about 1 year and mine last maybe 2 days and they really arent noticeable. now before when i have strayed i have had such bad ones i didnt dare leave my house. so good luck.
