newbie intro
I found this site by "googling" for the South Beach diet forums. I spent a couple hours reading about South Beach and the links were very helpful with recipies. Thanks so much for this forum.
I started Atkins last year and lost about 25 lbs. in 7 months, hit stalls and never lost another pound no matter what I tried. I found Atkins too hard to stick with and started cheating. I gained back 10 lbs. very quickly. I also was sick of meat and fats. It just doesn't "feel right" to me to eat all those saturated fats. I think, from what I have read, that the South Beach diet may fit into my lifestyle better, so I am going to try it. I just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hey!" :yay: |
Welcome! I am sure you saw the South Beach area. I think there are many ex-Atkiners there.

Hi and welcome, I think I read for 6 straight days before I even posted here. I was thinking about doing the switch myself, but you know how it is to start reading another book this would be my 3rd switch, plus a fat flush. Good Luck on your LC journey.

....you said you were tired of all the meat...I think there are Atkins people that eat pretty much vegetarian as well (i'm not one of them). Regardless of the type of LC plan your on, there is no better place for support!! Welcome |
